This outfit was a little lazy, I have to admit. I just threw a couple of my “never fail” items of clothing together because they never disappoint!

This top from Zara is one of my favourite tops coz it can be dressed up or down, with jeans, shorts or tucked into a high waisted skirt. It’s also such a flattering cut and timelessly stylish.

Also, the Thomas Sabo charm bracelet was a Christmas gift from my godmother last year. She picked out all the 15 charms on my bracelet and just like the top, it looks great with so many things.

I love things that can be worn with so many different things and in so many different ways. It makes me feel like I’ve gotten my money’s worth!

I’m planning on filming a whole 101 series (hair 101, skin care 101, face makeup 101) soon and I’m really excited to start filming it coz I’m going to be showing you guys how I take care of my hair/skin, how I apply my makeup and what products I use etc. I’m hoping to start filming it next week or the week after but we’ll see because I’m going back to Malaysia in April for a week because my cousin is getting married!

Btw, I’m trying to convince my boyfriend to record a video with me so you guys can meet him! We’ll see how that goes!

Oh and this is completely random, but I bought the very popular Lush Porridge soap the other day and I HATE it! So many people love this soap so I had high hopes for it but I was sorely disappointed. It doesn’t foam up very much and I like my soaps to have lots of foam coz the foam makes me feel like I’m getting really clean. The Porridge soap strikes me more as a body butter than a soap really coz it has all these little exfoliating bits in the soap. It smells SO good though. Like brown sugar and caramel, but I really wouldn’t recommend Lush’s Porridge soap to someone. Get Honey I Washed The Kids instead. Now, THAT, is absolutely divine!

Sorry for the lack of posts over the weekend everyone. Last weekend was very much a stay at home, never change out of my pyjamas kind of weekend for me, so I didn’t really have the chance to take any dailydress pictures or film any vidoes.

However, March is coming to an end (way too quickly too might I add) which means I get to film my FAVOURITE type of video ever really soon, my MONTHLY FAVOURITES VIDEO! :D Whoooo!

Today’s dailydress is really casual, comfortable and simple since I was just running some errands. Went for a quick lunch and bought groceries with my boyfriend. Couldn’t even be bothered to put on any makeup!

I am ACTUALLY this clumsy ( or probably even more) in real life so despite my efforts to hide my clumsiness in videos, it doesn’t always work. Since I’ve moved into my apartment, I’ve broken a spoon, chipped a bowl and dropped a ridiculous amount of food on the floor.

Btw, I actually haven’t used Benefit products much before this just because they’re so expensive in Malaysia and Australia so I intend to do a full review on all these products when I get to use them and test them out a little bit so you guys know what’s worth your money and what isn’t! :) So excited to start using my new goodies!

It Was So Good To Me, So Right

I cannot believe that 2010 has come to an end so fast. Since I’ve started blogging, I’ve said this every single year, without fail. 2010 was different though. It was more emotional for me, saying goodbye to 2010 because in so many ways, 2010 was the beginning of what I felt was part 2 of my life.

I think that overall, 2010 has been very good to me. Not because it was a walk in the park, because it hasn’t been. There have been MANY difficult times for me this year, times when I’ve just wanted to curl up into a ball, close my curtains and cry for a week because I felt so alone, but something I realized in 2010 is that a good year is not always characterized by how much money you make that year or how much you laugh. It’s by how much you grow.

I’ve met some incredible people and I’ve realized how strong my relationship is with the old ones. I’ve learnt to ENJOY my education and I don’t see it as a burden anymore. I’ve learnt to appreciate my family more and realize just how much they are a part of me and I a part of them. I’ve learnt that I can survive on my own and that housework isn’t TOO bad after all. I discovered a new found joy in cooking. I fell in love with Ben, am still in love with him and want to be in love with him for many years to come.

But most of all, I think that 2010 was the year that I grew as a person. That my thoughts, opinions, principles and goals took a proper shape. That I found who I was and who I wanted to become.

2010 wasn’t perfect but I’ve learnt to see perfection in imperfection. With the way 2010 has been, I can only see 2011 being even better. To mummy, daddy, grandpa, granny, Bryan, Ben, Riam, Quin, Ling, Manda, M, Kid, Kat, Su Fern, Zam, Debra, Mellie, Dave, Aaron, Keith, aunty Say Yan, aunty Elaine and everyone who was a part of my life this year, thank you, for being a part of my journey in 2010. Here’s to 2011!

I feel like blogging has become more of a weekly thing than a daily thing for me. The worst part of it is that I actually WANT to blog but I can’t because I just don’t have the time.

It’s not easy, living on your own and going to school because on top of all the assignments, presentations and studying, you’ve got to clean and cook as well. I never realized how much time cleaning and cooking took until I actually had to do it! And wow, I just realized how spoiled that sounded. Lol. LOTS of people do what I do AND work on top of that! But, I think I’ve been managing pretty well so far, I haven’t had any meltdowns, nor have I burned, broken or killed anything/anyone!

Anyway, Kenny and Jeanette came back from KL last Sunday and brought my camera cable for me so I FINALLY have my camera cable and can upload my videos and pictures, yay! :D Expect a video very very soon, I promise! I want to say tomorrow, but I don’t want to make a promise I might not be able to keep.

I went to Cottesloe beach with Ying Yi last weekend to take some pictures and they turned out amazing! What beautiful lighting, a good photographer and copious amounts of mascara can do for a girl eh?

Ying Yi took HEAPS more pictures but these are my favourite of the lot. And my favourite of the favourite lot is the one that’s fourth from the bottom, where I’m making a slightly out-of-shape heart with my fingers and the sun is in the background and a wave is coming in and my hair looks all curly and beach babe-y. :D

You Should’ve Thought Twice Before You Let It All Go

You guys, I have good news. My camera cable arrives in Australia tomorrow at 6am. I am so excited, it is not even funny. I never thought I would be so eagerly anticipating the arrival of a bunch of wires, BUT I AM! :D Hehehe.

Anyway, as a pointless filler post which is of no use to anyone but will make me happy, here are some random pretty pictures that I like. I wish I could come up with clever captions for each picture, but I can’t, I’m not clever or witty enough.

Let me know if you guys like this wannabe Tumblr post coz if you do, I’ll keep doing them. I have this weird obsession with looking at and collecting/saving pretty pictures I see on the Internet so I have heaps of these kind of pictures. :)

I’ve Been Waiting For The Stars To Fall

Hey you guys! I’m so sorry for the lack of updates. I’ve been so busy I barely have time to breathe and the fact that I don’t have my camera cable doesn’t make things any easier for me either.

I’ve actually got a haul video already uploaded on YouTube but I had to set it on private because I don’t have any swatches for the products I bought and I want to post the video up only when I’ve taken swatches, but I CAN’T do that right now coz I don’t have my camera cable. *sigh* Biggest mistake EVER, to forget my camera cable.

But my cousins will be going back to KL next week so hopefully, fingers crossed, I’ll have my camera cable in the next 2 weeks. Until then, please bear with me, I promise I’ve been filming lots of videos and they will ALL be up when I get my cable!

I Know A Place Where We Can Get Away

Not to sound like I’m bragging, but the one compliment I receive all the time is that I have good skin. Sometimes, even my parents marvel at how good my skin is!

One of the reasons that I have good skin is because I have good genes, both my parents have good skin. However, I also take really good care of my skin. Ask my family, my friends or my boyfriend and they’ll tell you that I spend way too much time and money on my skin care.

So after all the products I’ve tried and the years I’ve spent perfecting my skin care routine, here are my tips on how to get great skin and maintain it.

1. Pick a skin care range that works for you. Just because a product worked for your sister or your friend, doesn’t mean it’s going to work for you. Each person’s skin is different so the best way for you to figure out whether or not it works for you, is to try it yourself! That being said, if someone raves about a product, it’s definitely worth checking out to see if it works for you too. I’ve found some of my favourite skin care/makeup products from beauty reviews or recommendations from other people.

2. Don’t be afraid to mix and match your skin care. Just because you’re using the cleanser from a particular line doesn’t mean your toner and moisturiser have to be from the same line too. I have normal-dry skin but I use a toner for oily skin because I prefer a very light and refreshing toner but to make up for it, I use a slightly heavier moisturiser. Your skin care should be about finding what combination works best for you.

3. Cleanse, tone and moisturise AT LEAST once a day and twice if you wear makeup. Your skin picks up a lot of dirt throughout the day, particularly in Malaysia where the air is so polluted and the weather is so hot and humid. If you wear makeup, increase all that dirt twofold. Cleansing, toning and moisturising regularly helps to make sure you get rid of all that gunk on your skin and keeps your skin looking healthy and bright.

4. Always make sure you completely and thoroughly remove your makeup before you sleep. I cannot emphasize enough how bad it is to go to sleep with your makeup on or without removing it properly because all that makeup clogs up your pores. When you’re washing off your makeup, make sure to use a makeup remover for your eyes and wash your face with a cleanser twice. Your regular facial cleanser DOES NOT count as eye makeup remover! Don’t be lazy when it comes to this! Removing your makeup halfway is akin to not removing it at all.

5. Use an eye cream. My suggestion is that as soon as you’re using makeup and applying concealer under your eyes regularly, start using an eye cream as well. If you’re young, use a light eye cream that’s for providing extra moisture, forget the eye creams that combat wrinkles.

6. If you use makeup everyday, give your skin a rest on weekends. I love makeup and I love using it, but applying makeup everyday wreaks havoc on your skin coz you’re not letting your skin “breathe”. So make sure you have at least one “makeup free” day a week.

7. Pamper your skin. Once a week or every two weeks, take some time out and apply a face mask. It’s good for your skin and it’s great for giving yourself some time to relax. Just like skin care, there’s a whole range of face masks that do different things for your skin so make sure you pick face masks that suit your skin type! Believe me when I say that face masks make ALL the difference. If someone asked me what my #1 beauty secret was, I’d say that it was face masks.

8. Invest in a good, deep cleansing product, whether it’s a cleanser or a facial mask. With all the pollution in the air and the makeup we put on our faces, we need to deep cleanse our skin to make sure we get rid of all the impurities that our regular cleanser doesn’t.

9. Get lots of sleep. I’m not sure if this is scientifically proven or anything, but I find that when I don’t get enough sleep, my skin looks dull and tired too.

10. Too much of a good thing can become a bad thing. Over-moisturising can be just as bad as not moisturising at all. Remember to do everything in moderation and that includes face masks! Use face masks once or twice a week, at most. Some people think that by applying more product on their faces, it makes the product work faster, it doesn’t.

Somewhere Along The Way Everything Fell Into Place

It’s only the first week of class and already I’m feeling the stress of taking two English units and one Philosophy unit, and as we get further into the term, I can only see this stress increasing by tenfold. It’s not so much that the subjects are difficult, but it’s just the amount of reading and essay writing I’m going to have to do! Especially since my essays carry so much weight going into my final exam. Gah! Just writing about it is already stressing me out!

But okay! Let’s not dampen the mood with my whining about how much work I have, I want this post to be happy! Coz I was very happy when these pictures were taken! :)

Can’t believe that it’s been almost 3 weeks since I was in England with my family. I had the best time ever there, not so much because I loved England (although I did) or that the shopping was good (although it was), but because I got to spend uninterrupted time with my family doing things that are NOT related to work, racing or school!

But before we continue, let me just tell you guys that I really don’t have many pictures of England because when we were in London, all we did was shop and well, I was too busy shopping to bother taking pictures. Heh. :p And then when we left London to go to the countryside (Cotswold, for those of you who are wondering), I was just having such a good time that I totally forgot about taking pictures.

I think that’s a sure sign that you’re having a good time btw. That you’re having so much fun and are so into the moment that you’re just totally focused on staying in the moment. Well, that’s what Cotswold was for me. I just wanted to stay in the moment.

So these pictures were taken on our last day in England at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire which was about a 20-30 minute drive away from where we stayed in Cotswold.

I’m assuming that most people don’t know what Blenheim Palace is (I didn’t before this!), so it was the place where Winston Churchill was born (although he never lived there) and it’s the property that belongs to the Duke and Duchess of Marlborough. The current Duke and Duchess still live there (in a wing that is not opened to guests) and the past Dukes and Duchesses of Marlborough have lived there for many generations.

Their estate is MASSIVE, like, seriously huge, but I suppose when you helped England defeat the French (the Queen of England gave this estate and the title of Duke to the first Duke of Marlborough as a reward for his victory against the French), no estate is too large!

Walking in the “garden” which is more like the size of a forest reserve. Lol.

This is the rose garden. Their gardens are so large, they’re divided into sections. The rose garden, the hanging gardens, the garden where they have the fairies who produce gold. Lol.

They had so many colours of roses too! And even the roses were huge! They were the size of my fist! You’d think it was America, with the sheer massive-ness about this place and everything in it!

See what I mean by massive? This is just one wing of the house. I really can’t imagine living in such a massive house. It’s like a hotel! You’d stay skinny just by having to walk around your house everyday!

Okay, I know this shot is blurry, but for some reason, it’s my favourite picture. There’s just something about it, something I can’t quite put my finger on that makes me love it.

This was the shot I was trying to take in the picture above. The sun was just behind the palace and it looked so majestic, I had to try and capture it.

I don’t know what garden or fountain this was. But seriously, most swimming pools aren’t even that big.

Okay, I know I went on and on and on about how huge Blenheim Palace is, but really, it was so huge, it still boggles my mind. And the interior of Blenheim Palace was just as huge and it was so luxurious, I can’t even imagine living like that!

Ah, writing this post has really made me miss England. Not so much London, coz I didn’t really like London (more on this in a little while), but I miss Cotswold. Beautiful, quiet, serene, almost untouched by multinational companies, it’s like stepping into an Enid Blyton novel.

I wish so much I had pictures to show you guys where we stayed at while we were in Cotswold, it was a beautiful old manor, a B&B run by a husband and wife. I wish I could have the words to describe the place to you but nothing I say will do it justice. It was a house right out of a period novel. They had apple and pear trees in their garden. APPLE AND PEAR TREES! We plucked a couple of apples and ate them and they were so full of flavour! And the people who owned the place were the nicest people ever!

London on the other hand, I didn’t like so much. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed my time there. The shopping was good and we watched a really funny theatre show (Avenue Q, which is basically Sesame Street but for adults) but I didn’t love it the way I love Spain and Cotswold. London is just like any other big city in the world. There are HEAPS of people everywhere who are always in a rush and don’t have time to be nice to you. For those of you who are taking a holiday to England, I strongly suggest spending a couple of days in London for shopping and then moving to the countryside because London, does NOT capture the real England!

Oh, This Has Gotta Be The Good Life

Today, I came home, excited to film a video. So I got everything ready, filmed and then went to look for my camera cable so I could transfer my video from my camera to my laptop. Cue a frantic search of my entire (already pretty messy) apartment for my camera cable because it wasn’t where I usually put it, in the front pocket of my laptop bag. So the frantic search led to my apartment being even messier and with each passing moment, an overwhelming feeling of dread came over me.

I had left my camera cable back home in Malaysia.

So after I had finally accepted the fact that I didn’t bring my camera cable back to Perth with me, another realization hit me. HOW WAS I GOING TO BLOG/YOUTUBE WITH NO CAMERA CABLE?!?!

Thankfully, I (think) I’ve gotten my mum to agree to mail my cable to me so hopefully, the video that I’ve filmed and the ones that I will be filming will be up when I receive my cable.

In the meantime, I’ve still got London to blog about and a Boots and Debenhams haul video to upload! So please be patient, I promise I’ll still be updating my blog, my BlackBerry camera isn’t TOO bad. :p

But really, you guys are the lucky ones, you don’t have a mountain of dishes to wash and a TON of clothes and makeup to put away. Yes, I have not unpacked yet. And the aforementioned frantic searching didn’t really help matters much. :*)

She Finally Met A Man Who’s Gonna Put Her First

So I’m back in Perth after a whirlwind one week in KL that passed by way too fast. I’m not mentally or physically ready to go back to class yet, but life is that way isn’t it? You’re never ready for the boring responsibilities that life brings.

So here I am, lying in bed in my apartment, wishing I was back home where I can hear the familiar sounds of my brother playing a game on his Xbox, the slam of my parents room door and my daddy shouting “Sandy! Quiet!” at my very noisy Labrador who feels the need to bark at anything that moves. People say being homesick gets better with time, but what if I’m not homesick, but familysick? Because really, living on your own is overrated. Nothing beats the comfort of having your family close to you.

Okay, I KNEW this would get depressing because I really and truly hate being away from my family, so I took the liberty of uploading my Sephora haul because makeup makes everyone (or maybe it’s just me) happy. :D

I always try and start my videos composed and professional, but as we get further and further into the video, I start saying things wrong and forgetting things and then I just say buh-bye to being cool and composed. And yes, this is definitely me in real life too, but louder in real life. Definitely louder.

Lately, I haven’t been posting many personal pictures on my blog. It’s mostly been dailydress pictures and makeup or nail polish swatches.

It’s weird because I started this blog as a diary of my personal life, but as I grew older, I realized I wanted less people knowing about the going on’s in my life and combine that with the fact that I found a new passion in fashion and makeup, I guess my blog content just kind of evolved naturally.

Sometimes though, I do miss sharing snippets of my life with everyone, so for the first time in forever, here are pictures of my family and I on our holiday to Zaragoza, Spain.

The main reason we were in Spain was because Bryan had a race there and well, nowadays, with all our (my family and I) schedules as busy as they are, we try and fit our holidays around Bryan’s races so that we kill two birds with one stone.

Anddddd, that’s all the pictures I took at the track. Hahaha! Bryan didn’t have a very good race that weekend so I didn’t bother taking any pictures. :p

These pictures are of the outside of the Catedral de Basilica in the Plaza del Pilar.

The Catedral de Basilica is the oldest church in the whole of Europe and if you think the outside is beautiful, the inside just takes your breath away.

I wish I could have taken pictures of the inside but unfortunately, photography is not allowed inside.

My favourite picture is the last one where you can see the moon directly behind the tower because it was late evening by then but the sun was still out because summer was just ending so their days were still very long.

Man, even until now, whenever I look at these pictures, I feel so, awestruck because I mean, look at them! Have you ever seen something so amazing?!??

Outside a castle which I have forgotten the name of. Hahaha!

Funny story, we went to the castle and there were all these bouquets of flowers there so my dad asked me to ask one of the guards what was going on. So I asked her what was going on in Spanish and she started talking really fast and I didn’t really understand her so I only caught the gist of what she was saying and assumed that she said someone famous was visiting the castle.

It was only when we walked into the castle that we figured out that someone famous WAS visiting the castle, only, he was dead.

So while we were in Spain, we actually attended a state funeral of a very well-liked (or it seemed like he was well-liked) politician.

Um, ooops?

Unfortunately, because of the funeral, we didn’t get to see the whole castle, we only got to see a very little bit of it, but well, I guess it was better than nothing and it gives us a reason to go back! :D

In a nutshell, I loved Spain and I definitely want to go back. The people are nice, the food is good, the shopping is even better (Zara is 30-40% cheaper there!) and it is just such a beautiful place.

Wow, I haven’t blogged about something like this for so long it feels kind of weird and unnatural and I feel like this blog post just hasn’t done justice to Spain because I really haven’t managed to capture the incredibly rich essence of Spain. So forgive me if this post is a bit dry, I’m feeling a bit awkward writing this and hopefully, the post about England will be a little less, boring. Hahahaha!

It was the best lazy bestfriend weekend ever. :) Too much food, a lazy Sunday morning, long long chats, a gorgeous sunny day in the park and shopping in the city. It was just what I needed at the time and it was the best pick-me-up ever. <3

It’s amazing how the people you love can pull you from the deepest darkest hole and make the sun shine again. :)

The Magic In Me And You

I feel like I write these type of posts way too often because I have this bad habit of disappearing from my blog and then only telling everyone where I went AFTER I’m back and have left my blog empty for whatever amount of time I’ve been gone.

So for those of you who haven’t already figured it out from the two or three Tweets I um, Tweeted (lol), I was in Europe on holiday with my family for 10 days and before that, I was having my finals and before/during my finals, I was sick. So really, believe me when I say that this time, I really couldn’t blog coz I was busy/sick/had no internet connection.

So this is just a really quick update post about nothing in particular because I’m currently very jetlagged and have not slept the whole night. I FEEL tired but I CAN’T sleep. Worse feeling in the world I tell you. But not as bad as being sick on the plane. I was sick on the plane back from England. Ugh, horrible. I get travel sickness all the time. In planes, cars, boats, you name it! It’s terrible, really, I hate it.

Moving on. I’ll be in KL for about a week before I go back to Perth for my third term. I’m not exactly dreading going back but I can’t say I’m looking forward to it either. There are lots of good things about Perth but I miss my family SO MUCH when I’m there. I am however looking very forward to going back to my boyfriend because I miss him terribly and am dying to cuddle up with him on the couch and watch a DVD.

I’m in this funny situation where in so many ways, Perth feels like home, but it’s not. And when I’m there, I miss my family like crazy but when I’m back here, I miss my boyfriend like crazy! But I’m looking so forward to my week in KL because no matter how much I hate the political, education and essentially every “system” we have in Malaysia, it is still home because my family is here.

Also, I got my results last night and I have to say, I am quite pleased (and a bit surprised) with them considering the fact that I was so sick just a week before my exams and missed way too many classes. They weren’t lying when they said consistent, hard work, pays off! :p Took me twenty years to realize that! Hahaha! Sorry mummy and daddy!

Europe was absolutely amazing, I have totally and completely fallen in love with beautiful Europe and I can’t WAIT to go back! Mummy and daddy, Italy next year? ; ) I can’t wait to show you guys my pictures from this trip although admittedly, there aren’t many.

As can be expected, I bought LOTS of makeup (not so much clothes because it’s autumn in Europe and well, we just finished winter in Australia so I cannot wait to break out the open-toe sandals and dresses!) so expect lots of haul videos! I’m so excited to film them!

This is completely random but to whoever leaves comments on my blog, do check back on the post you commented on because I make it a point to try and reply all my comments. :) I love reading comments from you guys, it totally makes my day!

And since we’re on the subject of comments, someone commented on my previous post about me being back together with my ex-boyfriend, Ben. It was a really sweet comment and it made me smile but just to clarify things with everyone, I am not back together with Ben. We’re still very good friends and we talk all the time though, so it’s great that we’re still close. But the confusion about this subject is probably because coincidentally, and a little ironically, my current boyfriend is also called Ben. Lol. I’ve been wanting to write a proper post so that you guys can “meet” him but the both of us were so busy before I left Perth I just couldn’t find the time to do it. So here’s a (very) mini introduction, I promise a more lengthy one when I’m back in Perth because I don’t want to spoil it with little, insignificant details here!

Okay! So now, it’s almost 9am and I still don’t feel tired enough to go to sleep but too tired to start my day. Anyone got any cures for jetlag? :(

Part 2 of How To Prepare and What To Expect For University.

So you’re FINALLY in Australia, now what?

The next couple of weeks are going to be a flurry of activity. Running around and buying stuff you need/forgot, getting used to the new area you’re living in, learning the transportation system and figuring out how to get around and just a million other things you never realized you’d have to do! So, I obviously can’t cover EVERYTHING you’re going to have to do, but this is just a rough guide on the important things to remember.

Open a bank account. You will need proof of an Australian bank account to purchase a phone line and internet so this should be the first thing on your list. After you’ve opened your bank account, ask them to print out a bank statement (I think that’s what it’s called. I might be wrong. Just tell them that you want to get a phone line and you’ll need proof of your account). Make sure you have 2 forms of photo ID on you (passport, student ID, driving licence) and your COE when you open your account. It’s important that you have your home address because that’s where all your information will be sent to and they can’t open an account for you if you don’t have an address. If you don’t know where you’re staying yet, give them the address of family/a trustworthy friend and change the address when you find somewhere more permanent.

Most mobile service providers also provide internet so it’s probably a good idea to get both at the same time because they usually have package deals. Unless you’re moving into a share house/dorms where there is internet on a fixed line, mobile internet is really convenient coz you can take it everywhere with you and unlike the Maxis Broadband in Malaysia, Australian mobile internet is reliable and fast. Even faster than Streamyx back home actually. Again, make sure you have photo ID on you and your bank statement. It’s probably a good idea to shop around a bit to see where you’d get the best deal. Also, take into consideration what service provider your friends are using because chances are, you get free calls/sms-es to people on the same network.

Find the nearest grocery store near you so you know where to go to buy your groceries. Also, keep a list of things to buy because trust me, if you don’t, you’re going to forget what you need to get.

Unlike Malaysia where most retail transactions are through cash or credit, in Australia, you can EFTPOS aka direct debit your account. Even places like McDonalds allows you to EFTPOS and most places will allow you to EFTPOS for an amount as little as $4 so you don’t need to carry lots of cash with you the way you need to in Malaysia. Bear in mind that some, though not many, shops have a minimum EFTPOS amount.

If you’ve got an easy class schedule, you might want to apply for a job. Students in Australia are allowed to work for 20 hours a week and the pay is pretty high, anything between $15-$25 an hour.

Second-hand cars in Australia are very reasonably priced too. You could probably find a decent, second-hand car for around, $1500-$2000. If you’re coming to Perth, trust me on this, you WILL need a car.

The legal age for drinking and clubbing here is 18. If you’re not 18, don’t bother trying to get into clubs with a fake ID. For international students, the ONLY form of ID they accept is your passport.

When you start classes, it’s probably a good idea to find out if your college/university is strict about attendance. They are serious when they say they will cancel your visa if your attendance falls below a certain percentage. Also, some classes take your attendance into consideration for your final grade. So if you’re not a morning person, try and schedule later classes so you don’t have to worry about waking up early in the morning.

Keep a look out for student deals. In Perth, we have the Student Edge card (link) which gives you great deals on a variety of things, from movies to clothes. Wherever you are in Australia, I’m sure you guys will have something similar so ask around.

This is probably going to sound like something you’ve heard a million times before but find the right group of friends to mix with at college/uni. People say this all the time but this is perhaps most important when you’ve just moved to a new country and don’t have many friends yet. The friends you make can make your college/uni days the best time of your life, or the worst. So find a group of friends whom you can get along with and who are fun to be around but who also don’t have TOO much fun because you ARE here to study. I know I sound like an old grandma for saying all this but I’ve heard too many stories where people get mixed up with the wrong group of friends and end up getting their visas cancelled for failing/not attending class. In Malaysia, if you fail, no problem, sit for the class until you pass. In Australia, if you’re constantly failing, they WILL send you home.

Most importantly, enjoy these first few weeks of your new life. It’s going to be hectic and crazy and you’re going to miss home and your friends but it’s also going to be exciting and wonderful and overwhelming. I love being here and while it certainly hasn’t been easy, I feel like I’ve grown as a person and become better for it. Trust me when I say that this is a defining moment in your life so soak it all up and enjoy yourself!

Cause When A Heart Breaks, No, It Don’t Break Even

Hey everyone! Sorry for disappearing for two weeks! As I said in my previous post, it’s the end of term so I’ve been really busy with tests and assignments and presentations. I actually have an English presentation tomorrow but I’m just here to squeeze in a blog post real quick coz I feel so bad for not updating! Also, I am procrastinating washing the mountain of dishes in my sink. :p

Anyway! Before I came to Australia, I had no idea what to expect when I finally got here. So I didn’t know how to prepare, what clothes to pack or what things to bring. So for students who will be going to Australia to study, this is a rough guide on things to do and buy before you leave Malaysia and how to settle in when you arrive in Australia. I’m going to be doing this in two parts coz if I write everything in one post, it’s going to be way too long!

Before

If you haven’t already applied to a university or college, I strongly suggest going through an agent. I applied through IDP and the whole process was a breeze! They do all the paperwork for you, all you have to do is literally give them a copy of your results and passport and they will do the rest or give you exact directions on what you have to do. And the best part of it is that IDP is free! The only fees you pay are things such as your medical, courier, application fees, etc but they don’t charge you for their services. The IDP office I went to is located opposite the Taylor’s Subang campus but I know they have an office in KL and Penang too. Here is the website http://www.malaysia.idp.com/

If you don’t have accommodation, it’s probably a good idea for you to go to Australia at least 2 weeks before your term starts to look for a place. Check online prior to leaving Malaysia. The website I used was www.realestate.com.au to get an idea of the prices of apartments and the availability. Note, I knew from the start that I wanted to live on my own. If you’re looking to move into a share house, maybe you should go on your university/college website and see if there are any advertisements there for share houses.

Make sure you are covered by health insurance. Doctor’s consultation fees here are expensive, ($50 per consultation in Perth. That’s RM150 and this doesn’t include medicine!) and if you’re a student and covered by health insurance, your consultation is free. Also, if you require dental care (For those of you who wear braces), make sure you speak to your orthodontist and work something out or buy an insurance that covers you for dental care.

Google the public transportation in your state (In Perth, it’s TransPerth) and look through bus and train routes. This will make it easier for you to get around when you arrive and also give you a good idea on areas suitable for you to live in if you’re not staying on campus. You don’t want to stay an hour away from university/college!

Girls, trust me on this and pack only your favourite clothes! Believe me, when you arrive in Australia, you’ll want to shop like crazy because they have shops such as Supre, Dotti, Ally, Forever New etc that we don’t have in Malaysia and you’ll have the perfect excuse to buy new clothes because you didn’t bring enough! ;)

BUT, if you have favourite skin care/body care/makeup products, buy a couple of each thing and bring them from Malaysia. Things are more expensive here and I think it’s unnecessary to pay extra for something you can get for cheaper at home. However, if you’re the type that likes to try new things, go ahead and leave everything at home and buy different brands from here. I warn you though, it WILL get expensive.

Likewise, stationary is also more expensive so make sure you stock up!

Make sure you have a copy of your COE (Confirmation of Enrolment), passport, driver’s licence (In case you have to drive in Australia because of an emergency) and results. Your IC DOES NOT count as valid identification in Australia.

For those of you who are sure that you will be driving in Australia, switch your Malaysian licence to an international licence. Your Malaysian licence is recognized in Australia, but make life easier for yourself and the Australian authorities and switch your licence to English.

With whatever airline you’re with, they should be able to give you an extra baggage allowance if you tell them you’re a student. You might have to send them a copy of your COE but you get extra baggage allowance at no extra cost and trust me, this will be VERY useful. With SIA, I got an additional 10kgs!

Bring some basic medication along with you. Panadol, Clarinase, a course of antibiotics, period pain medicine etc because Australia is strict about buying drugs and you can’t just pop into a pharmacy and buy medicine when you feel like it. Again, it is also A LOT more expensive here.

Pack good quality and sensible shoes. You’ll be doing a lot of walking so don’t bother bringing all your heels so bring only what you need and pack ballet flats, sandals and sneakers.

The plug points in Australia are different from Malaysia so it’s a good idea to go to a hardware store and buy some travel adaptors. I’d say buy about 5 or 6. I know it sounds like a lot but it’s better to have more than not enough.

If you’re going to be living on your own, try your hand at cooking some simple dishes in Malaysia. It will give you a good feel of the kitchen so it won’t be too much of a shock when you get to Australia.

There are HEAPS of Asian shops in Australia because of the large Asian community so tell your mum’s and grandmother’s not to worry, they don’t have to insist you pack Lee Kum Kee soy sauce, you’ll be able to find that here! You can even find Super Rings here!

Don’t buy a new phone in Malaysia. The Australian phone companies always have great deals on new phone’s. I got my new BlackBerry Bold for $69 a month which includes unlimited BlackBerry data, free calls to people on my same network (3 and Vodafone) and $450 worth of calls to other people including international calls. But I am on a two year contract which means that I have to use this line for two years, regardless of whether I want to change it or not.

If you’re going to be taking the bus/train to uni, trust me on this and buy a backpack. I know how un-glam a backpack is, I fought tooth and nail NOT to carry a backpack, but damn, it makes life easy. :p

I’m sure most of you know this but Australian customs are VERY STRICT about what you bring in to Australia. Make sure you don’t bring in any plants, food, fruit, herbal medicines, etc or they will be confiscated. Also, ALWAYS be truthful on your declaration card of you’ll be looking at a fine!

That adorable little nugget is Dusty. She found my daddy one morning and started following him during his morning walk. I like to say that we didn’t adopt her, she adopted us. This was taken ages ago when she was still a puppy and still very cute, she’s all grown up now and is extremely ugly because she IS a stray and her ears stick up in a funny way. We call her our “longkang” (Malay for drain) dog, but she is very very loved and very very smart but also very very naughty. During her teething stage, she bit about, 17 pairs of my mum’s shoes! But I miss her terribly, she makes me smile in the mornings. :(

Oh and just a note to anyone who’s in/going to Singapore, you have to visit Mitju, one of my favourite shoe stores in Singapore! They’ve got a huge selection of shoes that are comfortable and reasonably price. But be warned, some of the shoes are well, not the most tasteful, but you do have some very nice ones. I’m not sure how many stores there are or where exactly they’re located but the one I always visit is in Orchard ION and it’s opposite Royce chocolates.

I actually really miss doing my dailydress posts. When I was still doing them, I felt like I had a reason to dress up even when I wasn’t going anywhere too special. Nowadays, whenever I feel lazy, I put on a hoodie and jeans because I know I won’t have *insert number of readers here* thinking “Omg, why is she wearing that?!?!?”. So I promise that I’ll resume my dailydress posts not just for those of you who enjoy it, but also for myself because who doesn’t feel good when she’s dressed up and feeling pretty? :)

I’ve got a very busy two weeks coming up because it’s nearing the end of term and there are heaps of assignments to hand up, tests to sit for and presentations to give. So you guys are going to have to bear with me coz I probably won’t be able to update too often in these next two weeks. I’ll still probably be able to squeeze in a post or two over the weekend though! :p

You’re Every Breath That I Take

I have to admit, as gorgeous as they are, the formula for Chanel nail polishes aren’t the best. If you’re lucky, you’ll get a nail polish with a brilliant formula, and if you aren’t, you get a polish with a terrible formula (Yes, Chanel Jade, I am talking about you!).

The formula for Chanel’s Paradoxal is miles different from the Chanel Jade formula. While Chanel Jade is a gorgeous colour, the consistency of the polish is thin and watery. Paradoxal on the other hand, is thick and dare I say, a tad, gloopy. I’m not sure if gloopy is even a word, but that’s the only word I can think of to describe the consistency of this polish. So application wasn’t the easiest because the polish was so thick, it was drying up a lot quicker than it should have been.

So while I found it a bit difficult to work with this formula, I am more than willing to put up with it because put simply, Paradoxal is quite possibly the most beautiful nail polish I have ever owned.

I love semi-weird, semi-sophisticated polishes and Chanel’s Paradoxal fits the bill perfectly. It’s got a certain elegance to it but it’s not your conventional French manicure or nude pink. It’s a darker polish, but I can’t call it a DARK polish because it’s not really dark, it’s more, dusty. And muted. It’s a beautiful, dusty, muted, grey-ish mauve-y polish with a slight violet duochrome. Think Chanel Particuliere’s violet cousin!

In my opinion, this is a must have nail polish. If you like Chanel’s Particuliere, OPI’s You Don’t Know Jacques, Barry M’s Mushroom or anything along the lines of those mushroom-y, grey, dusty, taupe-y colours that have been all the rage lately, you need this polish, I have never seen anything quite like this!

Excuse the slightly messy application. I was really excited to get this polish on my nails and the formula wasn’t being kind to me!

This swatch is about 99% true to life. I say 99% because different computers have different monitor settings but on my laptop, my nails look exactly like it does in this picture as they do whenever I look down at them and smile to myself because I am easily pleased like that.

You can see the slight violet duochrome in this picture. Isn’t it absolutely gorgeous?

Chanel, you have done it again. Now please, give OPI or China Glaze a call and fix your formula!

Okay, I know I promised some nail polish swatches in my last post but those swatches were taken AGES ago and it was only after posting that, I realized I don’t remember the names of the polishes and I can’t actually check their names coz they’re back home in Malaysia. :( But I will post those nail polish swatches, eventually. :)

Also, I still haven’t figured out how to convert my apartment tour video, boo. But I’ll figure it out eventually, I promise. Or maybe I’ll just film a new video and try not to be so shaky and trip on something and make my video look like the world is ending. Yes, now all of you know why I have to edit my video. I’m clumsy normally, but you try walking around looking through a camera screen. You’d trip too, I assure you!

So anyway, I figured I’d do a beauty tag since 1. I love doing tags and I haven’t done one in ages and 2. I’m actually too lazy to think of something else and tags are easy and fast. :D

Styling products: I don’t style my hair but I do use a hair serum, if that counts. My favourite hair serum EVER, is Skin Food’s Extra Virgin Olive Essence.

Shower Gel: Lush Happy Hippy.

Body moisturiser: I alternate between Palmer’s Cocoa Butter and Lush Therapy massage bar.

Cleanser: Kiehl’s Ultra facial cleanser.

Exfoliator: Skin Food’s Black Sugar Scrub Foam.

Primer: Skin Food’s Lettuce & Cucumber Matte Finishing Gel. Best primer EVER!

Foundation brush: I usually use my fingers to apply my BB cream but when I do use a brush, I use the stipling brush from Skin Food, but I’ve forgotten what it’s called. Pearl Touch Highlighting brush or something like that. For powder foundation, I use The Body Shop’s kabuki brush which I have also forgotten the name of. It’s the one you’re supposed to use with their mineral makeup line.

Concealer: For underneath my eyes, Skin Food’s Salmon Darkcircle Concealer Cream in #2 and for the rest of my face, Skin Food’s Rice Concealer Tip in #23 and #21.

Powder: MAC’s Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium Plus.

Blusher: The blush side of the ELF Countouring Blush & Bronzing powder.

Bronzer: The bronzer side of the ELF Countouring Blush & Bronzing powder! :D

Highlighter: Skin Food’s Lime Secret Shine Base in #2 or Skin Food’s All Over Muffin Cake Finish in #2.

Eye shadow base: MAC’s prep and prime. I have Urban Decay Primer Potion in original AND Sin and ELF’s mineral eye shadow primer but I’m trying to use up my MAC one!

Eye shadows: It changes all the time but lately, I’ve been using the NYX Runway Collection palette in Champagne & Caviar a lot. Not coz the eye shadows are of amazing quality but more because it’s so convenient. All the colours I could possibly need are in that palette!

Eyeliner: Revlon’s ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen in Blackest Black.

Curler: Skin Food.

Mascara: Maybelline’s Great Lash.

Lipstick & lip gloss: Again, this changes very frequently but I have been LOVING Revlon’s Soft Nude lipstick paired together with Revlon’s Peach Petal lip gloss. Best combination ever!

Nail Polish: Chanel’s Paradoxal is LOVE and everyone needs to have it! Swatches of this gorgeous polish up next! :D

Okay, after writing this post, I realized that this has almost exactly the same content as my July Favourites video. :p

I’m sorry but I was stuck in a this confusing dilemma where I WANTED to blog, but I was LAZY to blog so this is what we ended up with. :( I find myself in this dilemma pretty often actually.

Now on the next question, to listen to my head? Or my heart?

And what if your head and heart want the same thing but you just can’t accept it and want to continue to live in denial?

And does accepting you’re in denial mean that you’re no longer in denial?

Swatches of the two Skin Food highlighters are below.

Skin Food Lime Secret Shine Base in #2.

The left swatch is the product not blended in and on the right, it is blended in.

With this product, a little goes a long way. You only need a tiny bit to highlight your whole cheek bone.

This can also be mixed with your foundation/tinted moisturiser/BB cream to create a dewy finish. I do this sometimes with my BB cream. It gives my skin a nice dewy sheen without looking like a shimmer ball exploded on my face. But like I said, a little goes a long way so be careful not to apply too much.

I usually use this product when I’m using a BB cream/liquid foundation/tinted moisturiser.

Skin Food All Over Muffin Cake Finish in #2.

This highlighter is much more subtle than the Lime Secret Shine Base so you’d have to use more of this product than the Lime Secret Shine Base. I prefer using this when I use a powder foundation. This colour is a slightly warmer gold than the other one.

I might do a highlighter application video soon because until recently, I was absolutely clueless as to how to correctly apply highlight to properly accentuate my cheek bones and now that I know how to do it properly, I’ve realized that it really does make a difference to my makeup!

It’s gonna be a pretty busy week for me so I might not be able to blog as often as I’d like to but I promise to be back when I can. I’ve got some nail polish swatches that I took AGES ago that I’d like to post. :)

I’m Seeing It In My Dreams

I haven’t blogged in so long, I’ve almost forgotten how to, but lately, I’ve really been missing just sitting down and writing for something other than an assignment and being able to just tell a bunch of people what’s going on in my life and in my head.

I know how disgraceful it was for me to just disappear without so much as a word, not even an announcement that I was going to be away or something. If you’re still reading this, thank you and I’m sorry, it won’t happen again, I promise!

I’m pretty sure I don’t need to say this because by now, most people should know but I’m going to anyway! Just in case, ya know? :)

The reason I stopped blogging for awhile was because I moved to Perth, Australia for university. I never had the intention to stop blogging but my first term was really hectic coz I was trying to settle down in Perth, getting used to going for regular classes again and making new friends and basically just adapting to a whole new way of life here.

I’m in my second term now and things have gotten much easier and I’ve really settled down and am really loving Perth and I even went for my first cheer session this Friday! I miss my family and friends back in Malaysia very much of course, but I’ve made some good friends here and well, a certain someone makes my life here very pleasant. :)

And I PROMISE I will tell you guys who this certain someone is really soon!

Besides blogging, I’ve also really missed filming videos for my YouTube channel and sharing with you guys my opinions on all the skin care and cosmetics I use, so I’ve already filmed two videos! One of them is a tour of my apartment here and the other is a July favourites video and both of them will be up on my YouTube and blog really soon! I was planning for the apartment tour to go up first because that one had a bit of an update on why I hadn’t been YouTube-ing/blogging (kinda what I’ve already said here) but I’m having some issues editing that one so the July favourites one will probably go up first.

I promise you guys that I’m back to blogging regularly from now on, twice a week at least hopefully. I’m slowly going to be posting pictures of my new friends, and new life over here. It’s very exciting for me to be here on my own, I’m such a princess back home, I don’t know how I’ve managed so well here so far! (Well, actually, I do know, thanks sweetheart, you’re the best). And of course, dailydress posts will resume like normal! :D

I’ve also got some very exciting news that I hope to share with you guys really soon! In the next two weeks if all goes to plan! :)

My friends always complain that I’m too easily distracted and that I have the attention span of a gnat. I never realized how serious they were until recently.

Awhile ago, Zam had a barbeque at his place.

He actually has barbeques at his place pretty often, mostly when he feels like we all need to catch up or when someone is back from overseas and it’s usually very chill. We just eat, drink, talk, laugh, play stupid drinking games and generally, have a blast with each other.

A barbeque at Zam’s ALWAYS has lamb, sausages (the ones with cheese in them is mine and Ling’s favourite!) and of course, booze.

For this barbeque, Zam upped the booze factor.

He brought out the beer bong.

That’s not Zam btw, that’s Vivek. Lol.

For those of you who don’t know how a beer bong works (I didn’t until that day!), you pour a can (or two) of beer into the funnel at the top,

the guy who will be drinking the beer stands at the other end of the beer bong like so,

then he puts his mouth around the bottom of the beer bong and opens the “tap”, which is the red thing Sanjiv is holding on to, and the beer flows into your mouth at top speed and you have to gulp all the beer down coz if you don’t, it’s just going to flow out all over your face and shirt!

It’s seriously crazy! Imagine drinking a can of beer in like, 20 seconds! And it was so amusing watching all the guys take a shot at the beer bong!

And of course, Zam being Zam, made ALL the guys do the beer bong at least once!

I’m absolutely sure that Ajim had AT LEAST 10 cans of beer that night on top of whiskey and sangria!

Nazim only had one, maybe two cans of beer, because he was “going to play futsal”.

Zam was mean and made Sanjiv drink more than he wanted to!

Didn’t get pictures of the other guys but seriously, it’s super fun to watch them do it!

We’ve had heaps of good barbeques at Zam’s place, but this one was particularly awesome, I had so much fun and I’m going to miss this SO MUCH when I’m in Perth.

Awhile ago, Chien Teng asked me to swatch the nail polishes from the Skin Food Pedicure Vita line for her. I’m almost done swatching those polishes, I have one more to go and that post will be up as soon as I’m done with it. :)

In the meantime, I have some other random nail polish swatches for you guys!

Skin Food Nail Vita in BR613.

Sorry, I know this picture is a little dark, but I promise you, the colour swatch is probably 95% accurate.

This is a warm, shimmery, true gold colour with an ALMOST chrome effect. Not quite a chrome, but almost. You can see that it’s trying. Lol.

Application for this polish was a bit strange. It wasn’t difficult to apply per se, but it was a bit streaky and difficult to get even brush strokes. It also seemed to show every imperfection on my nail! I realize that this is the norm with many chrome polishes, but this one isn’t (really) a chrome polish!

The wear of the polish was pretty decent. I can’t remember how many coats of this polish I did but definitely nothing less than two because it’s pretty sheer. If I’m not mistaken, I did three. This also took longer than usual to dry. Skin Food polishes usually dry pretty quick.

Personally, I don’t really like this polish because the colour is a bit too warm for my skin tone but I really wish it looked good on me because it really is quite a pretty colour and it’s difficult to find such a true gold colour polish.

OPI Mad As A Hatter from the Alice In Wonderland Collection.

This is a multi-coloured fine glitter polish with mostly silver glitter as a base.

I had high hopes for this polish but sadly, I was disappointed. While I definitely don’t hate it, I don’t love it as much as I thought I would either.

The polish looks really dense in the bottle but I had to do four coats of this polish to get it to be like in the picture above, but because it is a glitter polish, you don’t see any mistakes so I had no application issues other than that I needed to do SO MANY coats. Dry time is pretty quick but really, four coats of polish is way too time consuming!

However, the glitter was very fine and not chunky at all. But you will definitely still need a topcoat just to seal it and give it a glossy finish because it looks a bit dull without a topcoat.

The wear of this polish isn’t very good but it’s to be expected because I had to do so many coats, so the polish was pretty thick and it peeled easily. Note, I said PEELED, NOT CHIPPED.

Biggest complain about this polish? Removing it was HORRIBLE! I mean, HORRIBLE! Most difficult polish to remove EVER. I sat in front of the television scrubbing at my nails for 40 minutes trying to get this polish off my nails, it was terrible. Please tell me, am I the only one who has experienced this or am I just doing something wrong?

China Glaze For Audrey.

This is a pretty “Tiffany blue” colour which is about 98% accurate to the original Tiffany blue! In some lights though, it looks a little more like a warm, mint green.

Application was okay. It can be a little streaky, but it evens out with your second coat. I did two coats of this polish but if you’re careful with your application, you can definitely get away with one coat because it’s pretty opaque.

The wear of this polish was average. No longer or any less than a regular polish.

I was expecting to really love this colour, and I wasn’t disappointed at all, I love it! I can’t wait to wear this colour again!

OPI Sand In My Suit from the South Beach Collection.

This is a pearl gold-toned nude colour that is one shade lighter than my skin tone.

For a nude colour, this is surprisingly opaque and very true to bottle colour. I was pleasantly surprised because I was prepared for there to be a visible nail line even with three coats of polish! I always associate nude colours with sheer polishes for some reason!

I can’t be absolutely sure, but I’m pretty sure I did three coats of this polish to get it to the colour that you see in the picture above.

Formula for this polish was a little streaky. You have to be careful with your brush strokes. The dry time was good though, so I had no issues with doing three coats.

I’m kind of on the fence with this polish. I definitely don’t hate it, but I don’t really love it either. I like it. Lol.

Btw, do nail polish swatch blog posts make you feel like buying nail polish? Coz it always makes me feel like buying nail polish! :D

I didn’t know whether to pull him back or stand in front of him and was on the verge of screaming at him. Thankfully, the car, seeing a crippled child crossing the road, took pity on him and braked.

See jie! Told you he would brake! Malaysia is like India, you just close your eyes and cross the road, the cars will avoid you.

I really worry about him sometimes.

This Free Fall

I know it’s disgusting the amount of time I have taken off from blogging, so lets start this post off with a huge apology and a promise to make up for my disappearing act.

So for this post, I’m just going to be doing a mishmash of (almost) everything that I’ve been doing and I’ll slowly go into detail about each thing post by post. :)

I have been keeping up (somewhat) with my dailydress pictures.

But okay, I’ll admit it. I’ve gotten pretty lazy about both dressing up and taking pictures and I don’t have as many dailydress pictures as I should have!

But I still have a couple! So they’ll be up really soon. :)

Sorry the first picture is a little blurry but you guys get the gist of it!

On my nails in the last picture is OPI’s Suede Russian Navy with a topcoat. I got this done at Amante Nail Spa which is my favourite place to go to for a manicure/pedicure session. I go to the one in Aman Suria and I will be writing a post really soon where I “take” you guys on my manicure/pedicure session along with me! :D

My thoughts on the OPI Suede Russian Navy?

It is a beautiful colour, especially with a topcoat (I’m not really into the whole matte polish and the topcoat makes the Suede polishes really glittery and shiny) but damn, it is terribly difficult to remove this polish! I thought that maybe I just had a bad experience, but Ling had a difficult time removing this polish too. So you know what, the colour is gorgeous, but it’s not pretty enough for me to spend 30 minutes removing it.

Have any of you tried the OPI Suede/Matte series? What are your thoughts on it?

And also, I’ve had some requests to do a review on my Marc Jacobs Stam bag, so I might do that soon too. What say you guys? Video or blog post? Hmmmmm.

I’ve also been doing lots of nail polish swatches.

I’d say that I’ve been more disciplined about doing nail polish swatches than I have been about taking dailydress pictures actually.

This nail polish is from Etude House and it’s called Dear Darling Nails and it’s in #18 Spangle Red.

First off, let me just say that this is NOT a red. It’s more of a hot pink as you can see from the picture. This swatch is very true to colour.

Besides that, I have to say that this is one of the most beautiful nail polishes I have ever used.

Because it is a glitter with an almost-jelly base, I did have to do three (maybe four, I can’t remember) coats of this polish. However, the polish dried really quick so it didn’t matter that I had to do so many coats.

The problem with so many glitter polishes is that they aren’t dense enough and you end up seeing a nail line no matter how many coats you put on. Not with this polish. It is extremely buildable and as you can see from the picture, it looks like I have glitter ON TOP of a regular nail polish. So gorgeous!

The glitter is a little bit chunky but it doesn’t bother me at all and besides, it’s so shiny! I’m totally willing to put up with a bit of chunky glitter if it becomes so sparkly and shiny!

The wear of this nail polish was so-so and it was a bit difficult to remove as is the usual case with most glitter polishes but really, this polish is so beautiful, I really don’t care how long it takes me to remove it.

If you’re a fan of glitter polishes, this is a must have!

We had a barbeque at Zam’s place where all of got really drunk/tipsy because Zam makes THE BEST Sangria ever out of RM20 wine.

This was before anyone was REALLY drunk/tipsy and could still have normal conversations that didn’t involve someone bursting into a fit of laughter at random moments.

Bryan fell and fractured his ankle playing football just before Chinese New Year and missed his first Bridgestone tyre test of the season.

Say hello to Bryan’s six screws and metal plate!

He’s really SCREWED now! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Bad pun, sorry. :p

Ling turned 21, celebrated her birthday at La Bodega/Zouk and looked BEYOND beautiful on her birthday! <3

Mel turned 19, celebrated her birthday at Elixir in Changkat, was still (barely) standing at the end of the night and also looked beautiful! <3

I’m keeping my New Year’s resolution and started cooking!

Here I am serving dinner to FOURTEEN people!

And yes, I have unashamedly stolen this picture off Manda’s blog. I didn’t manage to take any pictures that night coz I was so busy running around and making sure that everyone was fed.

Also in line with keeping my New Year’s resolution, I cleaned my room and found baby pictures!

Two pictures because these are my favourite of the bunch!

The first one was taken the day I brought home my first doggies! Herbie a Cocker Spaniel and Debbie a Labrador. Both of them have since passed away but those two dogs made me a very happy little girl. :) Herbie is the one I’m hugging (strangling) and Debbie is obviously the other one.

The second picture was taken on my 8th or 9th fairy-themed birthday. It was one of the best and most memorable birthday’s of my life! We ate “fairy” food, played “fairy” games, made wands with lots of glitter on them, made wishes on gold paper stars which we then put into pretty little organza bags and I got to take home a heap of stuff with glitter on it which drove my mum and my maids crazy coz I kept getting glitter all over the house. Till today, thinking of this birthday makes me smile. Hands down, BEST BIRTHDAY EVER! :)

I don’t have ANY pictures from Sri KDU’s Sports Day or Chinese New Year. :( Don’t ask me why, I have no idea myself and I’m still kicking myself for it.

For those of you who are wondering how my New Year’s resolutions are going (since I mentioned them before), I’d say that they’re going pretty good!

I’m not going to copy the whole post here because this post is already SO long so just click here if you haven’t seen my New Year’s Resolutions post and want to read it.

1. I’ve been to church every Sunday except for two Sunday’s which were during Chinese New Year.

2. I have not done any charity work. :( Boo! *shy*

3. I have not started Italian OR Mandarin classes.

4. I have been working out pretty often and I think I’ve lost some weight! But even if I haven’t, I feel good, so it’s a win-win for me!

5. I haven’t been going for gymnastics classes so no back handspring. :(

6. I DEFINITELY have spent less money on shopping!

7. As you can see from the picture above, I HAVE learnt how to cook and I actually enjoy cooking! :D

8. I have worked, somewhat, but I should be working more regularly! Shame on me!

9. I CLEANED MY ROOM!

10. I have not travelled anywhere on my own, yet.

So I’m more or less halfway through my resolutions! Not too bad right? :D

And I have saved the most exciting piece of news for last!

This is probably going to come as a surprise and a bit of a shock, but I’ll be going off to university in about, 4 weeks.

I’ll be going to the University of Western Australia in Perth and believe me, I’m terrified and excited and nervous and happy and I’ve just got all these different emotions going on at once!

I promise I’ll elaborate a little more and fill you guys in on everything really soon because this really deserves a blog post of its own and besides, this post has gotten WAY too long!

It seems like I’ve been going through this horrible pattern of blogging lately. Blog diligently for a couple of days and then disappear for a week! Everyone know the cheerleading community is one of the fastest growing communities in Malaysia. Cheerleading is no longer considered an activity than girls with no brains do and instead, it has developed into a sport that other athletes acknowledge and respect.

And cheerleaders these days are so lucky! When I started cheering, I didn’t have the resources that cheerleaders have now. And today, I’m here to introduce to all of you yet ANOTHER source of all things cheer!

I don’t know about all you cheerleaders, but the one thing I feel is seriously lacking in the cheerleading scene in Malaysia is CHEER MERCHANDISE! Cheer hair ribbons, cheer shorts, cheer bags etc etc.

Cheerholic is here to solve your problem and to satisfy all your cheerleading cravings! They’ve got cheerleading bags, towels, shorts and even teddy bears! And a little birdie told me that they’ll be bring in poms, shoes and ribbons soon! :D

Besides selling cheer merchandise, there are also tips for cheerleaders on their blog. This blog was started up by three experienced cheerleaders who are my seniors in CHARM and who have coached teams that have placed in the top 5 at Cheer 2009. There are two significant events that happen in high school that every teenager looks forward to.

First is of course, prom and the second, is their Sweet 16 party.

In more recent years, turning 16 has become somewhat of a rite of passage for every teenager.

Whether you are a girl or a boy, fat or skinny, rich or poor, whether you decide to splurge on a huge and lavish party or have a small dinner with your family, turning sixteen has become a milestone every teenager wants to celebrate in their life.

It’s been awhile since my friends and I celebrated our 16th birthdays so I’ve almost forgotten the excitement that surrounds turning 16.

About two weeks ago, Mariam celebrated her Sweet 16.

The theme of her party was old Hollywood glamour and it was held at the Grand Millenium hotel in KL.

You’ll get to see the decor of the place a little more in a bit, but I have to admit, I didn’t take as many pictures as I should have! Sorry guys!

The whole night, everyone kept asking me if I had driven to the hotel.

As you can see, no, I did not drive to the hotel because I don’t know my way around KL.

Here I am, admitting it on my blog. I do not know how to get to Pavillion or even KLCC, from my house.

Whoever wants to make fun of me, can make fun of me now.

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, the next couple of pictures are of Mariam cutting her cake BUT you can KINDA see the decor too! :D

Mariam’s cake had a Chanel bag on the top of it coz Chanel is her favourite designer.

And if you look carefully, the flashing lights in the background are actually in the shape of an M for Mariam! So cute!

The HOLLYWOOD + stars sign was the main backdrop and if you see the balloons just below it, there was a board underneath the balloons with black and white pictures of Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn etc and Mariam stuck on it. :)

Dress code was formal, duh. Hollywood glam, hello!

Everyone looked so good that night! All the boys in suits and all the girls in dresses!

My Sweet 16 party was one of the most memorable events in my whole life. Up till today, I remember the smallest details that made my Sweet 16 so special. :)

Little things like going shopping with the girls for our outfits, getting my makeup done at the Giorgio Armani counter, getting my invitations designed by Manda, celebrating my Sweet 16 surrounded by beautiful paintings at the Taksu Gallery, being surrounded by all these people whom I loved, dancing with my dad, being thrown into the pool, being given the most romantic surprise by my boyfriend. My Sweet 16 was in a word, amazing.

Mariam, I hope yours was as memorable as mine was. You looked beautiful that night and it was a beautiful party.

And Chelsey, I really hope you’re reading this! Hi! :D Hope you’re doing well in Australia!

Hello everyone! I’m sorry I haven’t been blogging but this time, I actually have a good reason! Lol. Although I have been busy, the main reason I haven’t been blogging is coz I’ve been having some major problems with my laptop.

I can’t seem to access the internet. I’m connected to the internet, but when I try and surf, I can’t access any websites. And it’s not a Streamyx problem because all the other laptops in my house are able to access the internet, it’s just me! I’m super confused and frustrated and I don’t know what to do because there doesn’t seem to be anything actually wrong with my laptop because I am able to access the internet sometimes.

Argh! Just talking about it is making me so frustrated!

The worst thing about this is that it doesn’t happen all the time! So when I turn on my laptop, I never know if I’ll be able to use it or not. It’s like gambling but way more intense. Lol.

And I’m not sure if I should take it to the computer guy coz what if it works when he’s looking at it?!? Then it totally doesn’t solve the problem right?

It’s times like these I wish I had a Leonard and Sheldon living across the hall from me. :(

Yay if you got the reference to Big Bang Theory and shame on you if you didn’t!

So anyway! I actually have two videos I’ve been trying to upload on YouTube for ages but because of my laptop, it’s been hell trying to upload them so everyone just has to be patient, like I have been for the past week.

For now, here are some nail polish swatches.

Yes, I’ve decided to do nail polish swatches. Since I’m already doing everything else beauty and fashion related, my nails felt left out and wanted to join in the fun too.

Skin Food Nail Vita in BR607.

This is a very sheer nude colour with a nice shimmer. I can’t remember if this was two coats of three coats of nail polish but either way, it’s still a very sheer colour. I’d say that this is perfect for work or times when you don’t want bare nails but can’t have too much colour on your nails either.

This polish is not me at all coz I love wearing colours but I have to say that surprisingly, I rather like this colour and would totally wear it again.

The formula for most of the Skin Food Nail Vita’s is nice. I say most because I haven’t tried them all. But the ones I’ve used to far were all relatively easy to work with, this one was no exception.

This colour actually didn’t need a topcoat because it was already glossy and had a nice finish to it but I put one on anyway coz I wanted the colour to last a little longer.

Btw, people who are just starting out in nail polish, go with nudes. Nude colours are alot more forgiving when it comes to mistakes and smudges. :)

Revlon nail polish in Teak Rose.

This is a lovely dusty rose colour. It looks like a rose tinged sandalwood colour in some lights and in other lights, it has more of a pink tinge to it. This colour is super unique and I really don’t have anything else like it! I totally love this one!

The formula for this colour was pretty good. It was very easy to work with generally, but it was difficult to get an even first coat. But once the second coat went on, everything was okay and it all evened out. I was worried that it would look streaky but it totally didn’t.

You will need a topcoat with this colour because the topcoat really finishes this polish well and makes it look even better!

This polish came in a close second for favourite nail polish! Lol.

Revlon nail polish in Revlon Red.

This is THE perfect red and THE perfect formula!

It was opaque and applied evenly in one coat and totally didn’t need a second coat although I did one anyway. A topcoat wasn’t required either because it had such a gorgeous glossy finish but I put a topcoat on to make it last longer.

In terms of colour, this has to be one of the prettiest red’s I’ve ever used. It’s that perfect pin-up girl red that makes you feel totally sexy without being trashy.

The only complain I have about this polish is that it was really difficult to remove and it stained my nails and fingers quite a bit.

But really, the gorgeous colour and perfect formula far outweigh any bad things (not that there’s much) about this polish.

And just so you guys know, I spent ages trying to write about this polish coz I had no words to describe how lovely this polish is and how much I love it! Lol.

Revlon nail polish in Chocolate Truffle.

The only reason I bought this nail polish was because I thought it looked like liquid chocolate in a bottle. I wasn’t sure how it would look on my fingers but when I used it, I was pleasantly surprised.

The colour is a brown that’s in between a milk chocolate and dark chocolate colour. It applies slightly darker than the colour in the bottle and it is ALMOST a vampy brown. But not really, coz it’s not dark enough to be considered vampy.

I was a bit worried that it would look a bit strange on my fingers but it actually looked really nice. I haven’t used alot of brown nail polishes so I can’t really compare, but for a brown creme polish, I’d say that this is nice coz I can imagine how brown creme polishes can go seriously wrong. Lol.

I can’t remember what the formula was like with this polish but if it had been bad, I would have remembered so I’m pretty sure there was nothing wrong with this formula. Lol.

If you’re into brown nail polishes, I’d say definitely buy this colour but if you’re not into brown polishes, I doubt that this will be the brown the changes your opinion.

I’d definitely wear this polish again though! I love having chocolate nails! :D

And for those of you who are wondering why I have so many Revlon nail polish swatches, it’s because over Christmas, Revlon was having a 2 nail polishes for RM19 deal so I bought a couple. There are another 3 colours that I haven’t swatched yet and will get around to doing really soon. :)

It’s Complicated, It Always Is, That’s Just The Way It Goes

So yesterday, my brother turned 16. I was going to write this post yesterday but I didn’t have the time to sit down and think properly about what I was going to write because what do you write about your brother? How do you write something about someone who is one of the most important people in your life?

For anyone who knows me and Bryan well, you’d know that we’re extremely close.

It wasn’t always like that though. When we were younger, Bryan and I used to fight ALL the time. And it wasn’t just verbal fights either, we’d actually hit and kick each other!

I remember making Bryan cry all time because back then (way back then), I was taller and stronger than Bryan so I could totally kick his ass. But if we got into a fight now, he’d kick my ass so bad it wouldn’t even be funny.

I also remember doing really mean things to him like making him wear my dresses and swimsuits and putting makeup on him by telling him that only “cool” people wore dresses, swimsuits and makeup. :p

I really wanted a sister back then okay!

Now, obviously, I cannot imagine my life without my brother and I have no idea why once upon a time, I wish I had a sister.

If someone were to ask me who my favourite person was, it would be hands down, Bryan. I would throw myself in front of a bullet for him.

Mum and dad, I love you both more than life itself but neither of you are my brother.

Many people have told me that I’m a good sister but really, it is Bryan who is the good brother.

There was this one time when I was sick and I was hungry at an hour of the day when the coffee shops near our house is closed. I didn’t feel well enough to drive so at 5.30pm, Bryan decides that he will cycle to Taman Megah (20 minutes from our house by bicycle) and buy me something light and soupy because it will make me feel better.

Whenever I go out at night, he waits up until 2am for me to make sure I get into my house safely.

That’s the kind of brother Bryan is.

But Bryan is not just good to me.

He is beautiful-on-the-inside to everyone, even random strangers.

We were waiting for my driver outside Ikea one day when this car pulls up. A young mother with a very young baby opens the car door and is struggling to get out with the baby + her bag while the young father is struggling with stopping the car, helping his wife and getting the stroller out of the boot. Before I can open my mouth to ask Bryan to help her carry her things, he’s already ran to help her open the door and pick her things up for her.

Lots of people who meet Bryan always comment on how polite he is and I am proud to say that it’s completely true.

Chivalry is not dead in my brother.

He will hold doors open for people, help women with their bags, remember to say please, thank you and you’re welcome. Things that many people these days, no longer do.

It never fails to make me smile when I see how polite and well brought up my brother is. The girl who wins his heart will be a lucky one because he will treat her like a queen.

Bryan is also one of the most down-to-earth people ever.

He has won the Sportsman of the Year award and the CEO’s award at my school many times. He is the Asian karting champion. My brother was named the Most Promising Karter in Malaysia. He recently got 5A’s in his PMR examinations despite missing 11 weeks of school.

You would NEVER hear him bragging about his achievements and he would never look down on people who are not as successful as he is. In fact, if you came to ask for his help, he’d probably spend as much of his time with you as possible.

Sometimes, I hear stories of siblings who have fought and no longer speak to each other or friends who hate their siblings and it makes me so sad that they don’t have what me and Bryan do.

Having a sibling who loves you unconditionally and who is there for you all the time, is a support system unlike any other because the ties of blood are so deep and so strong.

My brother is my rock and my backbone and I would be half the person I am without him.

I know that if I am ever in trouble or if I ever need something, Bryan would be the first one at my side to help me and to give me everything that I need.

I remember, just before my exams, Bryan texted me from Genting to tell me that he had prayed for me and that I didn’t have anything to worry about because he had so much confidence in me. My brother believes in me more than I do in myself and at that time, that’s what kept me going. The knowledge that my brother believes in me. In fact, that is still what keeps me going.

I feel safe and strong in this world because I have my brother, because I know I will never be alone as long as I have him.

Bryan is not the kind of person to tell me he loves me but the truth is, I don’t need to hear that from him because his actions speak so much louder than words.

I know that he would do anything in his power to make me happy and to keep me safe because he loves me and I’m his sister.

When we were younger and we used to fight, my parents and grandparents used to tell us that we are all each other has in this world and now, I realize that they are right.

Bryan, I love you very much and you are the most important person in my life.

As we both grow older and busier, I worry sometimes that one day, we will both be too busy for each other or there will be more important people than each other.

Lets make sure that it never happens because the day that happens, if the day we let ourselves down.

But okay, this post would not be complete, if I didn’t embarrass my brother in some way!

My first post for 2010!

After the craziness that was my December, partying on New Year’s Eve was just not on the top of my list. I was actually planning on spending it at home had my family not decided to go to Cherating.

We stayed at the Eastern Pavillion Resort & Spa which was very nice coz it was quiet and just what I needed, a short escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

I love the city, I do, but sometimes, I just need to get away from the traffic and the noise and the air. I know I sound like such a hippie, but it’s true. Lol.

I love hotels/resorts that put flowers on my bed! I know it’s the tiniest gesture ever but it makes me feel like I’m REALLY on holiday!

What’s New Year’s Eve without SOME beer right?

Even if it isn’t mine. Lol.

It’s my parents 25th anniversary next year I think. :)

I liked what I was wearing okay!

I was trying to prove that I could carry him and he was trying to cover my eyes but he kept shouting in my ear that my face was too small and his hands didn’t fit over my eyes coz they (his hands) were too big and I was upset that he was shouting in my ear so he used one hand to cover my ear so I wouldn’t go deaf. Okay, I think I need to explain myself for the next couple of pictures. Bryan, Ryan and I were sitting in the restaurant having supper when this little kitten comes up to us and I was so enamoured by it, I couldn’t resist taking heaps of pictures of it and fussing over it.

Together, Forever, That’s How It Must Be

This is my last blog post for the year 2009.

I’m sure you guys are going to read this on 192837917 other blogs as well, but 2009 has really flown by. I can’t believe that a year has come and gone so fast.

For the most part, 2009 has been a pretty incredible year for me and I look forward to 2010 being even better. I have a good feeling about 2010. :)

So, I actually have never made New Year’s resolutions before. Ever. But this year, for some reason, I feel so compelled to do a resolutions list, so here goes!

1. Go to church regularly. Sometime toward the end of this year, I just felt like I should start going back to church again. I can’t explain the feeling and I’m not sure what brought it on but it was like He was calling me. So who am I to argue with God right? :p

2. Do more charity work. I realized I needed to do more charity work coincidentally, in church. It was during service one Sunday when they announced that there would be a member from our church going to do mission work and while I don’t think I’ll be going to do any mission work anytime soon, I felt like God was trying to tell me something. Lol.

3. Start Italian and Mandarin classes.

4. Lose weight. To be honest, I’m actually pretty happy with my body right now but realistically, I am too heavy for a flyer and since I plan on cheering until my body doesn’t allow me to anymore, I’ve gotta lose some pounds!

5. Get my running roundoff back handspring and standing back tuck (AT LEAST!) by the end of 2010.

6. Spend less money on shopping. :p

7. LEARN HOW TO COOK! I’m going to be realistic here and say I want to learn at least one dish a month.

8. Work. I’d like to elaborate, but I’m lazy. :p My parents, especially my dad, should understand this one though!

9. Clean my room. Lol.

10. Travel somewhere on my own, paid for mostly by myself. :D Mummy and daddy, I know you’re reading this, please help me out a bit also okay? Thank you, I love you! Btw, holidays with you guys DON’T COUNT AH! That one you guys still pay for me okay? Because you are both the BEST PARENTS in the entire universe!

So there we go! My first ever New Year’s Resolutions for the year 2010. :D

I can’t explain it, but I just feel like 2010 is going to be an amazing year. I have such a good feeling about it and I’m so excited!

I’m Begging Please, Stop Playing Games

Hi everyone! Okay, okay, I know! I deserve to be cut up into a thousand pieces and then fed to piranhas for ignoring my blog so completely. :( I apologize. But really, this time, I PROMISE that I’m back and I will not slack anymore!

I love the colour of this shirt and Tinkerbell just looks SO cheeky, I love it! But if you want to dress up a shorts + t-shirt ensemble even more, wear a vest over your t-shirt or thrown on a scarf and you’re good to go!

And yes, I know, my toenails are disgraceful!

Okay, SO! Movie reviews! :D

I went to watch the Princess and the Frog with my cousins and Bryan yesterday and I LOVED IT! I’m a huge huge HUGE fan of Disney’s princess movies and this is the first princess movie Disney has done in a loooong time!

And they’re STILL the best at it btw!

The princess from this movie (Tiana) is the first “black” princess they’ve ever had and it shows throughout the whole movie! Think really soulful, gospel type music and your stereotypical “black” characters. In a good way though! Not in a racist way at all! It’s something Disney has never done in their other princess movies.

If you’re a fan of Disney’s princess movies, this is a MUST WATCH! This is another classic Disney princess movie! And I have to say, it’s one of the best movies Disney has come out with in awhile.

And there’s something so amazing about the way Disney always seem to capture so much, magic in all their princess movies. I lovedlovedLOVED it!

Only complaint about this movie was that there were a tad too many songs. But it was a fantastic movie nonetheless!

Caught Avatar with my mum and Bryan the day before yesterday. After all the hype and hearing so many people talk about what an awesome movie it was, I couldn’t wait to watch it.

I was not disappointed.

While the plot is very predictable, the special effects and cinematography more than make up for it! The way they captured the avatars, their facial expressions and movement and their world was amazing! So realistic and yet, so magical and ethereal!

This is definitely a movie you must watch in the cinema to appreciate the full effects of the movie. A DVD just won’t cut it. As much as I liked Princess and the Frog, if you had to make a choice, PICK AVATAR! This is one movie you DO NOT want to miss out on!

I really want to talk about this movie a little more, but words fail me. I just can’t think of the right words to properly describe this movie other than IT WAS REALLY GOOD, DON’T MISS IT! Lol.

And lastly, a video! HEAPS of people have asked me for an eye make-up tutorial so here is part 1 to it! The ACTUAL eye make-up tutorial will be coming up real soon! :)

And one last thing! Bryan got his PMR results today and he got 5A’s and 2B’s! :D Very proud of him! Congratulations to all the PMR students! :)

I’m To Light Up The World

Hello everyone! Sorry for shamelessly abandoning my blog the past week. Heh. :p I have absolutely no excuses because I actually had the time to update my blog at least twice! Sorry! But I’m back and really, I PROMISE that this time, I will get some videos up over the weekend! :)

So anyway! One of the most talked about movies of the year was the behind the scenes footage from Michael Jackson’s This Is It tour.

I personally really really enjoyed it and wouldn’t mind watching it again. However, there were a number of people who said it was disappointing and that they expected more.

I think it was a mistake on the part of the promoters to call this a movie because this is by no means a movie, nor is it a concert. I know many people went into the theatre expecting a concert. So when I entered the theatre, I had already prepared myself and reminded myself many times that this was BEHIND THE SCENES footage so I wasn’t expecting impressive concert performances, professional camera footage, perfect dance sequences and the like.

That being said, after watching this, I feel so sad that this concert never happened because it looked like it would have been a great one. While his voice no longer has the range or the rich, velvety smoothness he once had, he is, in my opinion, STILL the world’s best performer. No one can bring it the way MJ can!

However, where he lacked in terms of his voice, he made up for it in dancing! His dancing, is still as incredible as it was, 10 years ago. Considering he has aged significantly and has faced a number of health problems, I thought he was amazing. The energy and precision that goes into every single move never fails to amaze me. You can FEEL the enthusiasm emanating of him!

And I have to say, he had an AMAZING team of dancers supporting him. Omg, seriously. If they were THAT amazing during rehearsals, I can only imagine how incredible the concerts would have been!

I think it was incredible to be able to see him work and to see how much effort he puts into his concerts to make them what they are because people are right, a Michael Jackson concert is not just a concert, it is an EXPERIENCE and I saw that in this movie.

Favourite scene in the movie? The Thriller bit! Gave me goosebumps, I swear! Thriller is one of my FAVOURITE songs and oh man, to see him and his dancers dance to Thriller on stage in costumes, AMAZING!

Didn’t like the way he changed the musical arrangement for The Way You Make Me Feel though. That’s my favourite MJ song of all time and I really just didn’t like what he did to it. Sorry MJ!

The only thing I found disappointing was that it was really short. 1.5 hours maybe? I thought it was going to be much longer and I would have liked to see more.

So! What did you think of the movie? Were you singing along to all the songs the way Bryan and I were? :p

RIP Michael Jackson. You are a legend and you will ALWAYS be the King of Pop.

Hello everyone! I’m absolutely exhausted right now. So little sleep the whole week + exams + stress + a whole day out with the girls today has really drained me but because I promised I’d update my blog, here I am! :D

So for those of you who enjoy watching my videos, you are going to LOVE this one! This is a haul video I did with my bestfriend! :D

It was her idea actually, she said we should do a haul together and I thought it was a brilliant idea! We had heaps of fun filming this video and we’re already planning our next one.

And the story about the earrings. Lol. We were at the counter paying and we noticed these earrings in someone else’s pile of stuff and we were like, “OMG, SO PRETTY!” But I thought, okay, this is definitely going to be super expensive because it LOOKS expensive. Then we looked at the price and it was only RM23 or RM21 or something non-expensive like that! How not to buy, you tell me?!? Lol. :D Ling and I were SO excited! Haha! But I literally bought another pair of earrings WHILE I was paying for my other stuff. :p

Okay, anyway, I’m super tired, I should be filming some new videos this weekend so look out for that! :)

Btw, if you’re wondering how it’s going with my finals, I’ve only finished my Chemistry papers so far and they were not as bad as I expected them to be. Tomorrow, I have Spanish and Math paper 1 and then on Friday, Math paper 2. Wish me luck ya’llz!

Hey everyone! Because I am 4 days away from my finals and I want to blog but I don’t have the time to write a long, interesting post, here is a short dailydress update instead mainly to satiate my need to blog. Lol.

I am LOVING the design on my top! It’s like, a grainy, black and white, newspaper graphic print. LOVE IT! And it’s really comfortable too!

And btw, if you guys like the headpiece I’m wearing, head on over to http://an-old-flame.blogspot.com/ because they are having a pre-order on feather headpieces (amongst others) which closes THIS SUNDAY so if you love headpieces as much as I do, make sure you place your orders ASAP! I haven’t placed mine yet but I will be soon! I’ve been looking for feather headpieces for ages!

Also, yay for having a mother who has fabulosa taste! This necklace was hers but she gave it to me because she thought I’d get more wear out of it coz she hardly wears it anymore. It’s everything I love in a necklace! Chunky and makes a statement! The close up of the necklace makes it look like a cult necklace or something, but it’s beautiful and I love it anyway! Lol.

This is the nail polish that I’m wearing now. I don’t usually post a picture of my nail polish but I couldn’t resist this time around because this colour is SO beautiful! First time I’m trying it and omg, I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! It’s kinda like, an olive, gold colour with HEAPS AND HEAPS of shimmer! Long lasting too! More long lasting than the brown I had on in my last video. :) I’ve had it on for a week already and no signs of chipping yet! I’m dreading removing this polish though because I’m guessing it’s going to be a huge mess because of all the shimmer. But omg you guys, NEW FAVOURITE NAIL POLISH! :D For now at least. Lol. I’m guessing this will change in the next, I dunno, week or so. Lol.

I think I’m gonna start posting nail polish pictures too. :D

Okay! Time to get back to the books! Time for español. Meh.
